Richland County’s new trash hauler servicing routes near Fort Jackson

COLUMBIA, SC – Richland County Solid Waste & Recycling has a new trash collector servicing customers near Fort Jackson.
Capital Waste Services purchased David Ard Sanitation and will take over trash routes in the areas primarily along the northern and eastern edges of the military base. Collection schedules will remain the same for the nearly 9,000 customers.
Capital Waste joins Advanced Disposal Services, Allwaste Services, Johnson’s Garbage Service and Waste Industries as haulers contracted with Richland County to pick up trash, recyclables and yard waste for more than 80,000 customers.
The new hauler is distributing fliers in November to trash customers on its routes announcing the change in trash service providers. The company’s logo is expected to begin appearing on trash trucks in December.
