Richland County Council is engaging citizens in shaping local government policies

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC— Richland County Council provides a wide variety of Boards and Commissions that encourages its members to participate in discussions that affect and shape the future of the County. County Council believes it is not only the right, but the responsibility of interested and capable citizens to become engaged in local government policy by advising the Chairman and County Council on important community-related issues. Serving on a Board or Commission is an excellent way to make a personal contribution to Richland County’s growth and can be a rewarding experience for everyone!

 

Richland County Council is currently accepting applications for service on the following Boards, Commissions and Committees:

  1. Accommodations Tax – Two (2) vacancies (1 at-large position and 1 position for an applicant with a background in the Cultural Industry)

 

  1. Airport Commission – Three (3) vacancies

 

  1. Board of Zoning Appeals – One (1) vacancy

 

  1. Business Service Center – One (1) vacancy (Applicant must be a CPA)

 

  1. Hospitality Tax –  Three (3) vacancies (2 applicants must be from Restaurant Industry)

 

  1. Internal Audit Committee – One (1) vacancy (Applicant must be a CPA)

 

  1. Lexington Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council (LRADAC) –  Two (2) vacancies

 

  1. Richland Memorial Hospital Board– Two (2) vacancies

 

  1. Transportation Penny Advisory Committee – One (1) vacancy (unexpired term)

 

 

Applications will be accepted until 5:00 pm on Friday, November 20, 2015

Appointments may be tentatively made in December
