Board and Commission Vacancies

COLUMBIA, SC — Richland County Council provides a wide variety of Boards and Commissions that encourages its members to participate in discussions that affect and shape the future of the County. County Council believes it is not only the right, but the responsibility of interested and capable citizens to become engaged in local government policy by advising the Chairman and Members of Council on important community-related issues. Serving on a Board or Commission is an excellent way to make a personal contribution to Richland County’s growth and can be a rewarding experience for everyone!

Richland County Council is currently accepting applications for the following vacancies:

1.  Accommodations Tax – 1 vacancy
(Applicant must have a background in the Cultural Industry)

2.  Business Service Center Appeals Board – 1 vacancy
(Applicant must be a CPA)

3.  Building Codes Board of Appeals – 1 vacancy
(Applicant must be an Electrician)

4.  Employee Grievance Committee – 1 vacancy
(Must be an employee of Richland County)

5.  Hospitality Tax Committee – 3 vacancies
(2 applicants must be from Restaurant Industry)

6.  Internal Audit Committee – 1 vacancy
(Applicant must be a CPA)

7.  Midlands Regional Convention Center Authority – 1 vacancy
(Applicant must have a background in the Hotel Industry)

8.  Procurement Review Panel – 2 vacancies
(Applicant must be from the Service Industry)

 

Richland County Council will accept applications until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015
