Board and Commission Vacancies

COLUMBIA, SC –  Richland County Council provides a wide variety of Boards and Commissions that encourages its members to participate in discussions that affect and shape the future of the County. County Council believes it is not only the right, but the responsibility of interested and capable citizens to become engaged in local government policy by advising the Chairman and County Council on important community-related issues. Serving on a Board or Commission is an excellent way to make a personal contribution to Richland County’s growth and can be a rewarding experience for everyone!

Richland County Council is currently accepting applications for the following openings:

 

1.   Accommodations Tax Committee- Two (2) openings
Applicants must have a background in the Lodging and Hospitality

2.   Board of Zoning Appeals- Three (3) openings
          
3.   Building Codes Board of Appeals- Three (3) openings
One vacancy for a plumber and two vacancies for individuals with experience within the fire industry.

4.   Business Service Center Appeals Board- One (1) opening
Applicant must be a CPA

5.   Central Midlands Council of Governments- Two (2) openings
 
6.   Employee Grievance Committee- One (1) opening
Applicant must be an employee of Richland County Government
 
7.   Internal Audit Committee- One (1) opening
Applicant must be a CPA

8.   Procurement Review Panel- One (1) opening
Applicant must be from the Service Industries

9.   Richland Memorial Hospital Board- Four (4) openings
 
10.   Riverbanks Zoo Commission- One (1) opening
           
11.   Lexington/Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council- Two (2) openings

 

Applications are due by noon Friday, November 21, 2014.
