Richland County Council Re-elects Chair, Vice Chair for 2016

At Richland County Council’s first meeting of the year, members re-elected Torrey Rush to serve as Chair and Greg Pearce to serve as Vice Chair for 2016.
The Chair and Vice Chair of Richland County Council maintain order during Council meetings, decide what items make it onto agendas and represent Council at public functions.
Last year, Rush – who was elected to Council in 2012 – and veteran Pearce were picked by their colleagues to serve in the Council leadership roles. Rush represents District 7 and Pearce, first elected to Council in 1999, represents District 6.
