Richland County Councilman invites the youth to the Annual Lower Richland Youth Summit

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC— Richland County Councilman Kelvin Washington of District 10 along with Richland County Park and Recreation Commission Chairwoman J, Marie Green and Pastor Sammy Wade invites Richland County’s Youth to the Third Annual Lower Richland Youth Summit Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Eastover Park located at 1031 Main Street, Eastover SC.

This year’s conference will feature a day of activities, seminars, games and fun for tweens and teens ages 9-18. Students will take courses geared towards goal setting, self-esteem, discipline and many other life skills that will help them become productive citizens.

The annual youth summit is hosted and facilitated by dedicated community leaders that began this initiative more than 13 years ago as a small gathering in various churches throughout Lower Richland County. This summit has attracted more than 200 teens in past years.

This is a free event and lunch will be served, there is no registration requirement.
