Richland County Lieutenants Receive National Certification

COLUMBIA, SC – December 3, 2012 – Lieutenant Margita Friedley and Lieutenant Francine Gaillard of the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center have received the national designation of Certified Jail Manager through the Jail Manager Certification Commission, by authority of the American Jail Association.
This is a tremendous moment, as Lt. Friedey and Lt. Gaillard are two of the 368 jail professionals nationwide who have achieved this designation.
Certification in jail management is a demonstration of competency and professionalism in the field. The jail manager’s certification documents the mastery of a strong level of knowledge in the specialty and demonstrates continuing education and growth.
Lt. Friedley has been employed by Richland County since July of 1993, and Lt. Gaillard since April of 2004.
