Richland County Recreation Commission hosts Skills and Drills Combine with the Richland County High School Player of the Year Nominees

Join the Richland County Recreation Commission (RCRC) for a Skills and Drills Combine with the Richland County High School Player of the Year Nominees. This free 2-hour football combine-style clinic will be held on Sunday, October 16 from 2 PM— 4 PM at Meadowlake Park, located at 600 Beckham Road.
Co-ed players of all skill levels, ages 5-14, were invited to participate and all the openings have been filled with players from all different socioeconomic backgrounds from across the county. Nominees will be available at 1:30 PM before the skills and drills start.
Thank you to our event sponsors: Healthy Blue and the Carolina Panthers for donating equipment. Other sponsors include: Senator John Scott, House Representatives Chris Hart and Kambrell Garvin, Richland One School Board Commissioner Aaron Bishop, and County Councilwoman Gretchen Barron.
“We are pleased with this tremendous turnout of young players with different socioeconomic backgrounds from across Richland County. This is a great event, and we hope the kids have fun and learn new skills!” states Tameka Williams, Interim RCRC Executive Director.
*RCRC will announce the 2023 Player of the Year during a banquet held in their honor on December 1, 2022. The Player of the Year will receive a $2,000 scholarship or educational bundle. Read about our nominees HERE.
