Richland County Solid Waste & Recycling updates

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC –

  • Richland County SW&R will begin normal curbside household trash and garbage collection beginning Wednesday, Oct. 7.Monday/Tuesday collection day customers can also put out their trash on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and haulers will try to pick it up before the end of the day, though collection for Monday/Tuesday customers on Oct. 7 is not guaranteed.
  •  Normal curbside recycling collection will begin the week of Oct. 12.
  •  A mixture of yard waste and tree debris (no tree trunks) will be collected on normal yard waste collection days beginning the week of Oct. 12.
  •  Furniture and bulky items that are placed curbside with your storm debris will be collected without an appointment being scheduled the week of Oct. 12.
  •  The Richland County C&D Landfill Drop-off Center and Lower Richland Drop-off Center are operating regular hours since Tuesday, Oct. 6.  Both sites have receptacles for household garbage and storm debris.
  •  Richland County Solid Waste & Recycling will have large trash receptacles for residents to dispose of household garbage only at the following locations:
