Richland Library announces expansion of services, starting 9/21

Richland Library is announcing the expansion of services with minimal contact.
Starting Monday, September 21, there are new hours of operation for our locations with pick-up windows and the library’s phone system.
- Upon receiving notification, customers can access their holds from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 – 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday at our Ballentine, Northeast, Sandhills and St. Andrews locations.
- Customers can speak with a staff member over the phone by calling any library location from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday.
The library plans to launch curbside service at our Southeast location as well from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 – 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday. When a customer’s holds are available, they can call us when they arrive and enjoy concierge service while our staff handles the rest.
There’s also an option for printing at our locations with pick-up windows (Ballentine; Northeast; Sandhills; St. Andrews). Customers can upload their documents online by visiting richlandlibrary.com/print. Then, during their next visit, customers notify our staff at the pick-up window, and we bring out their printed items to a designated parking spot.
Lastly, outdoor seating is available in the courtyards and patios of our Ballentine, Blythewood, Northeast, Southeast, St. Andrews and Wheatley locations. Customers can connect their electronic devices to the library’s public Wi-Fi. We do ask they wear face coverings in these spaces and practice safe social distancing.
A reminder, all library buildings remain closed in the interest of public safety. The latest updates, regarding operations, are available over the phone, on our website and through our social media channels.
