Richland Library announces partnership to distribute face masks at three locations

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, Richland Library is partnering with Richland County Councilwoman Allison Terracio to distribute 2,000 face masks within her district.
Starting Wednesday, October 21, customers can pick up masks during curbside service from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 – 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday at the following library locations:
- Edgewood (2101 Oak Street)
- Main (1431 Assembly Street)
- Wheatley (931 Woodrow Street)
They’re available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
“The library has a broad reach in the community,” said Terracio. “With their help, we’re able to safely provide access to face masks that can have a direct impact on the health of local residents and others around them.”
The partnership is part of a larger effort to help residents follow Richland County’s mask ordinance, which requires most people older than 10 to wear face coverings in public. To learn more, visit www.richlandcountysc.gov/facemasks.
