Richland Library discusses peak of hurricane season with local experts

August 2, 2021

Richland Library wants to keep you and your family ahead of the storm by having an engaged conversation on weather patterns, potential storm impact and storm preparedness. Join us for Hurricane Season: Reaching the Peak from 3 – 4 p.m., Sunday, August 15. Please register for this online program at richlandlibrary.com, which is free and open to the public.

We’re diving into the present, past and future aspects of the Atlantic hurricane season. Our goal is to analyze current conditions, stream of information and available assistance, review prior storms and the effects that they’ve had on our response and communication, and look ahead at what we still need to address.

Panelists include:

  • Efren Afante, WLTX Chief Meteorologist
  • Daniel Bonds, WLTX Meteorologist
  • Melody Cook, Direct Services Manager, Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross
