Richland Library Friends and Foundation looks to expand its collection of books, music & movies

August 2, 2021

Whether you’re reorganizing, purging or moving, the Richland Library Friends and Foundation is asking for the donation of your books, CDs and DVDs.

During the month of August, it’s hosting six donation drop-off dates at the Richland Library Operations Center (130 Lancewood Road). Please bring your gently-used items in good condition from:

-10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. every Thursday (August 5, 12, 19 and 26)
-4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 18
-10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Sunday, August 29

To view a complete schedule, visit www.richlandlibrary.com/donate-materials.

The Richland Library Friends and Foundation is implementing the following safety protocols when making a donation:

-Bagging or boxing all of your items in disposable, non-returnable containers
-Assessing the value of your items for tax purposes (if appropriate) prior to dropping off your donation
-Calling 803-798-3341 to make volunteers aware of your arrival
-Transporting your items into the designated drop-off area (hand truck provided)

Donations are helping the organization to restock the Richland Library Operations Center, following renovations to the building in 2020, and plans are underway to safely hold future books sales. Please check back for continued updates.
