Richland Library hosts author of two Caldecott honor-winning picture books

December 3, 2020

Richland Library is thrilled to welcome a best-selling author to discuss his award-winning books for children. Join us for Meet the Author: Mac Barnett from 10:30 – 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 9 on our Facebook Page. The online program, which is free and open to the public, is geared toward elementary-age students and their families.

As an added treat, hear Barnett prior to the virtual event on the library’s dedicated phone line for storytelling. He’s currently sharing the book “A Polar Bear in the Snow” – complete with arctic music in the background from the illustrator. To connect, call 803-799-9084 and press “six” on the keypad.

Barnett is the author of many picture books and novels for children. His picture books include the Caldecott Honor-winning titles “Sam & Dave Dig a Hole” and “Extra Yarn.”

This program is made possible thanks to funding from the C.G. Fuller Foundation.
