Richland Library introduces new entrepreneur-in-residence

Thanks to recent funding from the Libraries Build Business grant, Richland Library is announcing the continuation of our entrepreneur-in-residence program. We’re excited to welcome Karen R. Jenkins, who has a background in the business and financial industry.

During her residency, scheduled from August 15 – December 15, Jenkins intends to help the library identify growing needs among entrepreneurs and small businesses in our community. She also plans to host virtual office hours, work with library staff to offer online programs and provide digital content on the library’s website, which highlight and share her expertise.

Recognized locally and regionally for her professional accomplishments, Jenkins is President and CEO of KRJ Consulting, LLC. The full-service consulting firm specializes in value-added workforce development, staff augmentation and management consulting services for government agencies, companies and small businesses.

Jenkins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University. She is also author of Nobody Told Me! The Path to Financial Empowerment, a guide to building a solid and attainable financial foundation.

Initially developed in 2019, the entrepreneur-in-residence program strives to offer access to seasoned, diverse entrepreneurial leaders with proven expertise, demonstrated success and the heart of a coach.
