Richland Library launches vinyl collection

Turn Up the Volume and Let the Records Spin on Classic and New Music
Let’s go crate digging. Richland Library has launched a new vinyl collection for teens and adults to check out, with more than 150 albums from genres ranging from country, r&b, pop, hip-hop, rock and more! Housed at Richland Library Main (1431 Assembly Street) the collection includes notable albums from The Beatles, Adele, James Brown, Sade, Those Lavender Whales, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Kendrick Lamar, Toro Y Moi, Common and Taylor Swift.
Cardholders can check out two albums at a time for up to 7 days and returns can be made at any of our 13 locations.
Turntables are available in the Library of Things.
Along with the new collection, Richland Library is hosting several programs in October that music enthusiasts might enjoy at Richland Libray Main and Richland Library Wheatley.
Join Billboard chart analyst and pop critic Chris Molanphy (of Slate’s Hit Parade podcast) as he describes his process for researching, storytelling, and podcasting about the music charts and leads a journey through Darius Rucker’s career on Thursday, October 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Richland Library Main.
See the world through the eyes of creatives with Richland Library’s Artist-in-Residence Terrance Henderson and a panel of local artists on Wednesday, October 26 at 6 p.m. at Richland Library Main.
Finally, share your music, comedy and poetry in a live, in-person and online version of our popular Open Mic event on Wednesday, October 26 at 6 p.m. at Richland Library Wheatley.
