Richland Library Main’s café space is now home to Curiosity Coffee Bar

May 5, 2025

Richland Library announced the official opening of Curiosity Coffee Bar at Richland Library Main (1431 Assembly St.), where books and brews now go hand in hand in the newly activated café space.

The grand opening coincided with Curiosity Coffee Bar’s eighth anniversary and marking the start of a unique partnership designed to foster creativity, connection, and community engagement.

Curiosity’s connection to Richland Library runs deep. From researching their business plan and accessing entrepreneurship tools to utilizing the Maker Studios for creative projects, the coffee bar’s founders credit the library as an essential part of their journey. Now, they’ve come full circle—bringing their signature small-batch roasted coffee back to the place that helped them get their start.

To celebrate the opening and the start of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Curiosity is featuring specialty coffees from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, available throughout May. The café’s debut was previewed during the Read Freely Festival in March, and library staff were treated to a complimentary coffee day during a soft opening earlier this week, setting a warm and welcoming tone for what’s ahead.

This partnership reflects the shared mission of Richland Library and Curiosity Coffee Bar: to spark curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connections within the community.
