Richland Library makes list of 2020 Top Workplaces in SC

Integrated Media Publishing is announcing Richland Library as a 2020 Top Workplace. We are one of 30 companies in South Carolina to make this year’s list.
The library ranked #4 in the large company category, and we received the special Manager’s Award. In addition, the library earned top scores in three areas – meaningfulness, innovation and direction. The award was based on staff feedback, which employee engagement technology company Energage, LLC administered.
“Richland Library is honored and humbled to receive a 2020 Top Workplace award,” said Executive Director Melanie Huggins. “During a time when so many employees and businesses are facing uncertainty, we are inspired by the resiliency and determination of our team. They truly embody empathy, inclusivity and innovation. Our staff is the lifeblood of this library, and their work continues to be a vital part of this community.”
There are nearly 400 staff members who make up Richland Library’s team. From librarians and artists to career coaches and social workers, they are committed to inspiring lifelong learning while providing access to information and resources for all.
