Richland One summer programs start June 5

June 5, 2017

Richland One is pulling out all the stops to offer students and adults an exciting menu of offerings to fill their summer with adventure, academic enrichment, fitness, college preparation, credit recovery, science, technology, the arts and everything in between.

The district’s seven-week Summer Soar camps and enrichment programs, which will be held June 5-July 27, offer parents a menu of programs to select from to suit their child’s diverse needs and interests. They can combine as many programs as they like and take advantage of the district’s early-bird and extended childcare options. The goal of the program is to combat learning loss during the summer.

There are programs for elementary, middle and high school students, as well as adult education courses. Some programs will be held at district schools and others will be at local sites throughout the community. Some programs are free, while others will charge fees. Parents are encouraged to visit the district website, www.richlandone.org, for detailed descriptions of each camp, enrichment or academic program and to register as soon as possible.

Programs offered include robotics, computer programming, swimming, theater, building rockets, business skills, genetics, reading and aviation. No sessions will be held July 3-7.

Parents who would like additional information should call (803) 231-6842.
