August 26, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – On Thursday, August 20, and Monday, August 24, 2015, the Richland School District Two Board of Trustees met to conduct Superintendent Dr. Debbie Hamm’s performance evaluation. This annual evaluation is required by board policy and by the district’s employment agreement with the superintendent.

The board took action regarding the evaluation during public session at the regularly scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. As a result of the overall commendable evaluation she received for the 2014–2015 school year, the board approved a motion to extend Hamm’s contract with the district by one year, to June 30, 2017, and to increase her annual annuity by 3.5 percent, for a total of 10.5 percent.

Board Chair James Manning said, “The board has the utmost confidence in Dr. Hamm and what she has done, is doing and will continue to do for the district. As our superintendent, she is everywhere all the time. The culture she has created shows in the joy and motivation seen throughout the district. We can’t thank her enough for her service to our students, parents, employees and community.”
