Riggs Partners names new partner

Riggs Partners, a creative marketing consultancy headquartered in Columbia, SC, announces the addition of Michael Powelson as a partner in the firm. He becomes the sixth partner in the firm’s 33-year history.

Powelson will continue to serve as Creative Director, a position he has held since 2013. He began his career at Riggs over 15 years ago as a copywriter and broadcast producer, where his creative work earned top honors from the advertising, marketing and communications profession’s most prominent trade organizations and publications.

Michael leads a team of writers, content strategists, art directors and other specialists in the creation of integrated marketing programs. He also works closely with the account team in developing brand strategy and deploying it across a variety of mediums.
