Upstate attorney Rita McKinney elected to American Law Institute

McNair Law Firm announced that of counsel Rita McKinney has been elected to the American Law Institute (ALI).

For more than 90 years, the ALI has served as a leading resource for legal research, analysis and authoritative texts. As a member, Rita will have the opportunity to influence the development of the law in both existing and emerging areas, working alongside fellow lawyers, judges and academics.

Rita is a veteran litigator based in McNair Upstate office. Her practice focuses primarily on employment law, physician representation and business litigation. Rita has been named to The Best Lawyers in America©, the South Carolina Super Lawyers® list and the Greenville Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite of the Upstate.” She is a permanent member of the United States Court of Appeals Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, a former director of the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation and a frequent presenter on employment law topics.
