Wild Adventures Abound at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden

Pollinator Plant Pack Sale

Plant Pack sale goes live on riverbanks.org on August 1, 2024.

Help promote crucial pollinator habitat and plant diversity with low-maintenance, beautiful blooms that benefit the environment. Limited quantities available! With a selection of 10-quart sized plants, guests can create a pollinator haven with packs for $50 + tax. Pick up will be September 21, 2024, from 8:00am to 10:00am at Riverbanks Botanical Garden, 1300 Botanical Pkwy, West Columbia, SC 29169. For a list of included plants, click here.

Toucan Tuesdays

Every Tuesday through August 13, 2024

In partnership with Harvest Hope Food Bank, guests who visit Riverbanks and bring two cans (or bags and boxes) of non-perishable food items will receive buy-one get-one admission and buy-one get-one regular sized ICEEs. Donation bins will be located at both Zoo and Garden entrances. There is no limit to the number of Tuesdays guests can participate for discounted admission. The promotion applies to general admission rates only (purchase one admission and get the second for equal or lesser value free; Explorer wristbands and Riverbanks’ memberships are not included).

Upcoming Events

Brew at the Zoo: August 2, 2024, 7:00 – 9:30 pm. Tickets are now available for the 19th annual Brew at the Zoo. Experience an unforgettable evening of craft and local beer, live music, and wildlife set against the stunning backdrop of Riverbanks Zoo. In addition to the 60 vendors and over 100 varieties of brew, food trucks will be available to tackle any craving. This event promises to be a memorable night for beer enthusiasts and animal lovers alike. A new VIP area includes all the benefits of general admission plus early entry to Ndoki Plaza, select beers and wines, accompanied by an open liquor bar, catered light bites, indoor air-conditioned area with private restroom, and a commemorative Brew 2024 T-shirt. A limited number of VIP tickets are available at $130 for members and $150 for general public. General admission tickets are $65 for members and $75 for general public. Tickets are limited and sell out quickly each year so hurry up and get yours today.

ZOOfari: September 27, 2024, 7:00 – 10:30pm.Tickets go on sale for the Zoo’s premier fundraiser Thursday, August 1. Don’t miss South Carolina’s wildest party with a purpose. ZOOfari is a night of cocktails, cuisine, and conservation. Guests have an opportunity to bid on fantastic silent and live auction items, including one-of-a-kind experiences at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden to help support the care and conservation of the more than 3,000 magnificent residents at Riverbanks. Tickets are $85 for members and $100 for general public.
