Riverbanks Park Commission Welcomes New Commissioner

COLUMBIA, SC – Riverbanks Park Commission, the governing authority of Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, recently welcomed a new member to the Commission, Alana O. Williams. Williams, a partner of Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough LLP, was appointed to the Commission by the City of Columbia and is one of two Riverbanks Park Commissioners representing the City on the seven-member panel.

In addition, Riverbanks Society, the private, nonprofit organization supporting the needs of Riverbanks Zoo and Garden through membership and fundraising, is pleased to announce four new Board members and a new treasurer have been elected to its 2015 roster.
Catherine D. Taylor, chief compliance officer for SCANA, will now serve as Treasurer on the Society Board’s Executive Committee. Taylor is serving her second term on the Society Board. Newly-elected Board members include:
    • Clifford L. Bourke, Jr., Southeastern Freight Lines
    • Jeffrey Gossett, South Carolina Senate
    • Sue Keenan, SSK Consulting, LLC
    • W. Harold Wray, Wray Automotive
