Riverbanks to debut gorilla-inspired brew during frothy summer fundraiser

Support wildlife conservation during Brew at the Zoo on Friday, August 4. The annual suds sippin’ safari, hosted by Riverbanks Society, will take place from 7:00pm – 9:30pm.
Guests will once again have an opportunity to sample from more than 100 varieties of beer plus an all-new brew with ingredients hand-selected by one of the Zoo’s silverback gorillas. This year, Riverbanks partnered with Legal Remedy Brewing Company to craft the featured draught. Patrick’s Pick is a well-balanced blend of caramel 60, cherries, pilsen and wheat. In addition, live music, up-close animal encounters and scheduled animal presentations are on tap for the evening. Food also will be available for purchase during the event.
Brew at the Zoo is expected to sell out. Tickets should be purchased in advance online. Prices are $40 for Riverbanks members and $50 for the general public. A limited number of VIP passes also are available. Riverbanks exclusive VIP Beer Club offers an additional selection of specialty brews and complimentary food pairings plus access to an air-conditioned VIP lounge. VIP tickets are $70 for Zoo members and $80 for the general public.
Riverbanks would like to thank The Casual Pint and Checker Yellow Cab for partnering with the Zoo on this year’s event. Riverbanks encourages responsible drinking. All guests will be asked to show proper photo identification, and no one under the age of 21 will be permitted. To help ensure the safety of our guests, the Zoo will pay the first $15 towards cab fares to hotels and residences.
