Ronald McDonald House Charities Charleston launches new Hospitality Cart Program inside the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. The Hospitality Cart is designed to support families with hospitalized children, making them feel happy and at ease. RMHC Charleston volunteers will operate two carts that will make rounds on every floor of the Children’s Hospital.

Volunteers will provide families and children with complimentary coffee, snacks, toiletries, and other items which are small reminders that RMHC Charleston supports them during a challenging time.

“We are so grateful to have the support and partnership of RMH Charleston. Having these Hospitality carts will bring great comfort to our patients, families and staff. Some times it’s the little things in life that go a long way, especially a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a snack for some nourishment!” – Melissa Kubu, Volunteer Services, MUSC.

The Hospitality Carts were made possible by The Henry and Sylvia Yaschik Foundation, Charleston County Government, Murden Construction, LLC, and Charleston Wraps.

Individuals and businesses can help this program by making in-kind donations of individually wrapped snacks, coffee cups, individual creamers, and other items. Your generosity helps ensure that the Ronald McDonald House Hospitality Cart is making families hospital visits a little easier by staying well-stocked with snacks and beverages and other items of convenience and comfort. In-kind donations can be purchased online or dropped off at the House.
