RMHC of the Carolinas’ Plane Pull set for take off this September

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Carolinas will host its Annual Plane Pull on Sept. 26 from 8 a.m. to noon, bringing teams, families and community supporters together for a high-energy competition benefiting families with critically ill children. The Plane Pull will take place at the Greenville Downtown Airport alongside the newly debuted restaurant, Hangar28, located onsite.
Teams will put their strength and teamwork to the test as they race to pull a real airplane across the tarmac. The event will feature friendly competition, prizes and plenty of excitement, all while raising awareness and support for RMHC of the Carolinas’ mission to keep families close when they need it most.
All proceeds from the Plane Pull, led by the Red Shoe Society, RMHC of the Carolina’s young professional leadership group, benefit the House and its mission to support families with critically ill children.
The event is free and open to the public, making it a fun, family-friendly morning for spectators of all ages. Children can join in the fun, too, with the chance to pull a Whirlwind Cessna and experience their own kid-sized version of the Plane Pull.
Spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer on participating teams, soak up the excitement and experience one of Greenville’s most unique community events. The morning will feature a live DJ, cotton candy, cornhole and a special event food and drink menu from Hangar28.
With roaring crowds, friendly competition and plenty of family-friendly fun, the Plane Pull is more than a thrilling morning at the airport – it’s an opportunity to rally behind families with critically ill children and help RMHC of the Carolinas keep families close when they need each other most.
