Robert F. Dozier elected to Prisma Health Board of Directors

Prisma Health is proud to announce the election of Robert F. Dozier to its board of directors. With an extensive background in financial services and a lifelong commitment to community service, Dozier brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this pivotal role.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, Dozier has dedicated over 34 years to the financial services and mortgage industry. He currently serves as president and CEO of Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, a $1.3 billion-dollar financial institution based in Columbia.

Throughout his career, Dozier has been actively engaged in various community service roles, including serving on the boards of the University of South Carolina, Midlands Technical College, Richland School District 2, Palmetto Health Foundation and the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce. He also has contributed his expertise to organizations such as the Midlands Education and Business Alliance and the State Chamber’s Education and Workforce Development Council.

In addition to his community involvement, Dozier is recognized as a thought leader in board governance, housing, leadership, and the economy, frequently serving as a keynote speaker on these topics.

Prisma Health’s President and CEO Mark O’Halla expressed his enthusiasm for Dozier’s appointment, stating, “Robert’s lifelong commitment to service has made a profound impact in the business community. Reflecting on his election to the Prisma Health board, Dozier remarked, “Being elected to the Prisma Health board is an honor and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in our community. Together we’ll address the health needs of those we serve as we advance Prisma Health’s purpose.”

Craig Brown, chair of the Prisma Health Board, expressed his excitement about Dozier joining the board, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Robert to our board. His business leadership and community engagement will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand our services throughout South Carolina.”

Dozier joins a distinguished group of community leaders on the Prisma Health board, including Craig Brown, Shaniece Criss, Jean E. Duke, Calvin Elam, Frances D. Ellison, S. Richard Hagins, George S. King Jr., Dr. Clayton Lowder, Michelle B. Seaver, Rev. Thomas Simmons, James E. Wheeler, Richard Wilkerson and Mark O’Halla.
