Robinson Gray has named attorney Tim Thompson a Member of the law firm.
He was voted into the position at the end of 2022.

Tim focuses his practice in the areas of business mergers and acquisitions, business succession and legal entity planning, corporate and commercial law, taxation, estate and trust planning, and probate administration. He regularly advises clients on all aspects of business and corporate law, commercial transactions, and economic development, including tax credits, grants, and other economic incentives for commercial developers and business owners. Aside from corporate and commercial law, he has extensive experience in family wealth transfer and estate planning, business succession and family trust planning, and probate administration.
A 1993 graduate of The Citadel, Tim obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996 before earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in taxation from the University of Florida School of Law (School of Taxation). He started private practice in South Carolina in 1997, dealing with a wide range of business, corporate, individual, and nonprofit legal and tax matters. In addition to his time in private practice, Tim has extensive experience working for state government and as in-house counsel as well. From 2013 to 2015, he served as managing counsel for complex litigation with the South Carolina Department of Revenue, and immediately before joining Robinson Gray he served as corporate counsel for AgFirst Farm Credit Bank.
