Rootimentary Celebrates Opening with Ribbon Cutting

December 12, 2022

You know it’s official when the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce holds a ribbon cutting!

That happened last week at Rootimentary in downtown Laurens. After just a week of being “open for business” restaurant owners Caleb and Jessica Satterfield are overwhelmed with the support they have received from across the county.

“It’s exciting and terrifying. It’s overwhelming in the best way,” said Jessica Satterfield. “We feel tremendous joy and simultaneously feel the weight of what it means to offer jobs and teach skills to a group of fantastic people.”

City of Laurens Mayor Nathan Senn, Main Street Laurens Director Jonathan Irick, County Council Chair Brown Patterson and members of the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) were joined by many downtown small business owners and members of the community to cut the official LCCC ceremonial ribbon on Thursday, December 8.
