Rotary Club of Greenville honors Coan

GREENVILLE, SC – March 25, 2014 – The Rotary Club of Greenville honored long-time Greenville community leader Sandi Coan with its Career Day Service Award Tuesday.

The award is given annually to a person who exemplifies outstanding professional achievements, reflects the core value of integrity in all behavior and activities, conducts all business and professional affairs ethically, encouraging and fostering high ethical standards as an example to others, uses talents to improve the life in the Greenville community and positively influences the future of youth and adults in the Greenville area.

Coan retired in 2013 after 16 years as the executive director of LEAD programs, which is a leadership development program at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce that includes Leadership Greenville, Opportunity Greenville, PULSE and Youth Leadership Greenville.

These are programs with a 40 year history of developing informed, committed and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic leadership for Greenville county.   Coan also had responsibility for support of the Leadership Greenville Alumni Board and for the more than 1,800 Leadership  Greenville Alumni.
