Rusty Rudder Mount Pleasant Welcomes New General Manager

October 6, 2014

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC –  The Rusty Rudder Mount Pleasant located at 3563 N. Hwy 17 in Mount Pleasant  announced Thomas H. Brand III as Operating Partner/General Manager. Originally from Morgantown, West Virginia, Brand hails to Charleston by way of Pennsylvania, where he was the Entertainment Complex Manager and Tavern Manager for the five star Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.

With past positions at Bella Casa Ristorante and The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, Brand is enjoying a change of pace with the private restaurant industry. Brand, who has always had a soft spot for Charleston, chose the Lowcountry to escape of brutal winters and enjoy the eclectic and diverse food scene of the Holy City.

“I love to get to know people and their stories. It’s the main reason I moved out of the resort industry. It wasn’t as intimate and I wasn’t able to get to know people like I am able to here at the Rusty Rudder. “ says Brand.

Visit The Rusty Rudder and try out Brand’s favorite Rudder meal: Pan Seared Scallops served with stone-ground creamy Charleston grits, Mahi-Mahi Tacos, a side of the house-made Lobster Mac and a signature Shipwrecked cocktail made with Sea Island Spiced Rum.
