S.C. Bar Young Lawyers Division Elects Lee Nettles as 12th Circuit Representative

COLUMBIA, SC – November 5, 2103 – The S.C. Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) elected E. Leroy “Lee” Nettles III to serve as the 12th Circuit Representative for 2013-14. Mr. Nettles will act as a liaison between the S.C. Bar YLD and members of the 12th Judicial Circuit, which comprises Florence and Marion counties.

As the 12th Circuit Representative, Mr. Nettles will encourage participation from YLD members in circuit events, while working closely with local and county bar associations to solicit volunteers and spread awareness of current YLD initiatives. He will also plan and implement public service and member involvement projects, including professional development opportunities and Community Law Week events.

Mr. Nettles is a native of Lake City, S.C., and earned his undergraduate degree from The Citadel in 2008. He received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the S.C. Bar in 2012. While in law school, Mr. Nettles received Computer Assisted Legal Instruction awards in Property and Professional Responsibility courses, and served as law clerk to the S.C. Senate Judiciary Committee. Upon graduation, he served as law clerk in the S.C. Circuit Court for the Hon. R. Knox McMahon. He currently practices general law with his grandfather at Nettles, Turbeville and Reddeck in Lake City.

YLD is committed to public service and helping the people who need it most.
