COLUMBIA, SC, August 31, 2007 – BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina has created a new division called Corporate Planning and Strategic Services and promoted Jill Davis to vice president in charge of the unit.

The division head reports directly to CEO M. Edward Sellers and is responsible for enhancing the company’s long-term, strategic planning efforts and for formalizing a corporate-wide executive development program.

We are creating this new division because of the growth and expanded diversity and scale of operations our company has experienced over the past decade, said Sellers. Growth brings new challenges.
