Santee Cooper seeks input on grant program

October 24, 2022

Santee Cooper seeks input from potential applicants (transmission owners/operators and distribution providers), stakeholders, and other interested parties as it develops its proposed program and project objectives, metrics and other details of the planned South Carolina Grid Resilience Grant Program (GRG).

Santee Cooper is serving as the state entity for South Carolina to apply for, receive, and administer grid resiliency grant funding provided through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), Section 40101(d). Santee Cooper plans to establish the South Carolina Grid Resilience Grant Program (GRG) and use BIL money to fund projects that improve the resilience of the electric grid against disruptive weather events.

Santee Cooper will host a public input meeting on Nov. 7, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. to provide an opportunity for all who are interested to ask questions and offer input on the program design. The meeting will be virtual, to make it more convenient and accessible. Registration is required at: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_2yeyYBa1SKqmrX4c339i3A.
