SC Bar Foundation welcomes Columbia attorney to Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, SC — The South Carolina Bar Foundation welcomes Columbia attorney Joshua A. Bennett to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Bennett, who currently serves as a Foundation Ambassador, will work with other Bar Foundation board members to advance justice to all South Carolina citizens through the programs and services offered by the nonprofit’s 19 grantee organizations.

Bennett focuses his practice on complex litigation and insurance defense matters, with an emphasis on construction litigation, products liability, toxic tort/personal injury, professional negligence, and other related areas at Rogers Townsend & Thomas, PC. He is listed in Super Lawyers as “South Carolina Rising Star” in Civil Litigation Defense. Bennett received an A/V Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named in Columbia Business Monthly’s “Legal Elite of the Midlands” in Construction Law.

Bennett is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law. In addition to his legal practice, Bennett is very active in his community. He serves on the Board of Directors for The Family Shelter as Secretary and a member of the Executive Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Town Theatre, is a recent graduate of Leadership Columbia and serves as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Columbia.
