SC Bar offers free legal clinics in the Midlands

The SC Bar Pro Bono Program will sponsor five free legal clinics in the Midlands in September. The schedule is as follows:
- September 1—Wills, Estates and Probate, presented by Thomas D. Kilpatrick. The clinic will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Lourie Center (1650 Park Circle, Columbia 29201).
- September 6—Family Law Issues, including divorce, custody, visitation and support, presented by William B. Fortino. The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cayce-West Columbia Branch Library (1500 Augusta Rd., West Columbia 29169).
- September 8—Wills, Estates and Probate, presented by Thomas D. Kilpatrick. The clinic will be held from6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Richland Library (1431 Assembly St., Columbia 29201).
- September 22—Landlord and Tenant Issues, presented by Tina L. Brown. The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Richland Library Northeast Branch (7490 Parklane Rd., Columbia 29223).
- September 27—Elder Law Issues, presented by Sarah L. Clingman. The clinic will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Pelion Branch Library (206 Pine St., Pelion 29123).
These seminars are free for anyone who would like to attend. The format typically consists of an overview followed by a question and answer session. A schedule of other upcoming seminars throughout the state is available online at www.scbar.org/clinics.
