SC Bar recognizes Finklea, Hendrick & Blake for Raising the Bar

The SC Bar recognizes Finklea, Hendrick and Blake, LLC for their $25,000 donation to the House of Hope of the Pee Dee and their efforts to award 15 scholarships to local Pee Dee students.
The firm donated $25,000 to the House of Hope of the Pee Dee to completely fund one tiny home, which was completed June 14. Firm partners Gary I. Finklea, J. Greg Hendrick and Charlie J. Blake, Jr. participated in the ribbon cutting. The House of Hope’s goal is to complete 24 “tiny” homes in the Pee Dee community. Each home costs $25,000 and has a dorm-style kitchen, bathroom, living room and sleeping area. The Finklea-funded home was donated to a young mother and her child. House of Hope continues to work to provide sustainable housing where families can independently support themselves.
In the spirit of giving back, Finklea, Hendrick & Blake also recently awarded 15 scholarships to students in the Pee Dee area. The announcement of the scholarships was a nod of appreciation to the community for supporting the law firm being nominated “Best Law Firm in the Pee Dee.” With more than 80 scholarship applications submitted, the attorneys in the firm stated they were “overwhelmed by how many of the applicants were worthy of recognition, humbled by their significant achievements, and inspired by the many obstacles that were overcome to reach this point.” Therefore, in addition to the eight scholarships promised, the firm awarded seven junior scholarships in the amount of $250 each!
