SC Chamber Accepting Applications for S.C. Big 50

Applications due Aug. 10 for ranking of the state’s largest employers  
 
COLUMBIA, SC – June 13, 2012 – The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce,the state’s unified voice of business, is seeking nominations for the2012 South Carolina Big 50, the ranking of South Carolina’s private,public and foreign-affiliated companies by the number of employees ontheir payrolls as of June 30, 2012. Businesses may download a nominationform from J.W. Hunt & Company LLP’s website, www.jwhunt.com. The deadline for nominations is Friday, August 10, 2012.
 
The South Carolina Big 50 is compiled by J.W. Hunt and Company LLP, aColumbia accounting firm, in cooperation with the South CarolinaChamber. The 2012 South Carolina Big 50 will appear in theNovember/December 2012 edition of South Carolina Business magazine.
 
All companies with operations in South Carolina are eligible for theSouth Carolina Big 50, which is tabulated according to participantresponses received. Participants are asked to provide their employmentfigures, location of corporate headquarters and products/services. TheSouth Carolina Big 50 includes company subsidiaries and divisions (bothprivate and public), and parent companies do not need to be located inSouth Carolina. While the South Carolina Big 50 does include financialinstitutions, insurance companies, retailers, hospitals and health careorganizations, it excludes government agencies and organizations.
