SC Chamber Safety Awards presented to Renewable Water Resources

Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) was presented the South Carolina Chamber Safety Awards to honor its efforts in making workplace safety a priority.

The following ReWa departments received safety awards: Administrative and Engineering Services, Instrumentation, Laboratory, Pretreatment, Purchasing, Solids Management. In addition, six water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs) received the award: Gilder Creek, Lower Reedy, Marietta, Mauldin Road, Pelham and Piedmont Regional.

“The S.C. Chamber Safety Awards highlight the successes of our staff, and we are proud to be recognized for our outstanding work environment and employees that show exemplary effort to ensure workplace safety on a daily basis, year after year,” said Graham Rich, Executive Director for ReWa.

The Safety Awards are presented annually based on companies achieving a commendable lost workday case rate during the previous calendar year. The S.C. Chamber of Commerce honors those companies who make workplace safety a priority with an annual luncheon in Columbia, S.C.
