SC Chamber to host Spotlight on Agriculture and Forestry event

South Carolina’s agribusiness, agriculture, and forestry industries are vital to our state’s economy, with a diverse range of companies from family farms and livestock producers to large food manufacturers. In collaboration with key industry leaders, the annual Spotlight on Agriculture and Forestry event highlights and celebrates the significant contributions made through these businesses. The inaugural SC Chamber of Commerce “Agribusiness of the Year Award” will also be presented and recognize a company, individual, or organization that has significantly contributed to the success and excellence within the agricultural industry. This award was created to highlight leadership, innovation, and the positive impact that the agribusiness sector has on the state’s economy. Join us for a cocktail reception with oysters and bluegrass, where attendees can also look forward to hearing an economic outlook presentation from Dr. Joey Von Nessen (USC – Darla Moore School of Business), and remarks from the S.C. Department of Agriculture.
