SC Christmas Tree Growers Association Delivers Trees to the Governor’s Mansion and Military Families

COLUMBIA, SC – December 3, 2012 –  The Governor’s Mansion and five South Carolina military families are getting ready for Christmas thanks to the help of a member of the South Carolina Christmas Tree Growers Association. 

Dale Cullum of Turkey Creek Christmas Tree Farm in McCormick, won the Grand Champion prize for the South Carolina State Fair’s Christmas Tree contest. He will present three Certified SC Grown White Pine Christmas Trees to the Governor’s Mansion December 3 at 10 a.m.
 
Along with the Governor’s Mansion, the families of five guardsmen with the South Carolina Air National Guard or South Carolina Army National Guard who are deployed or about to deploy, will also receive poinsettias grown by the Future Farmers of America Lexington Technology Center Chapter.  The military families will also receive a gift bag presented by South Carolina Specialty Food Association and the South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA).
