SC Christmas Tree Growers Association Delivers Trees to the Governor’s Mansion and Military Families

CHARLESTON, SC – December 3, 2012 –  The Governor’s Mansion and fiveSouth Carolina military families are getting ready for Christmas thanksto the help of a member of the South Carolina Christmas Tree GrowersAssociation. 

Dale Cullum of Turkey Creek Christmas Tree Farm inMcCormick, won the Grand Champion prize for the South Carolina StateFair’s Christmas Tree contest. He will present three Certified SC GrownWhite Pine Christmas Trees to the Governor’s Mansion December 3 at 10a.m.
 
Along with the Governor’s Mansion, the families of fiveguardsmen with the South Carolina Air National Guard or South CarolinaArmy National Guard who are deployed or about to deploy, will alsoreceive poinsettias grown by the Future Farmers of America LexingtonTechnology Center Chapter.  The military families will also receive agift bag presented by South Carolina Specialty Food Association and theSouth Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA).
