SC Institute on Sexual Violence Prevention to OfferFree Continuing Ed Courses through Lander
June 22, 2026Now enrolling for the Fall 2026 semester, Lander University offers three college-level courses, taught by the University’s highly-credentialed faculty. These classes are free for those who enroll through SCIP, and taught 100 percent online. While available to all South Carolina residents, Lander officials say they are ideal for educators, school administrators, campus safety personnel and other members of school support staff.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with our parent institution, Lander University, to offer these critical training opportunities to educators and campus professionals across South Carolina,” said Dr. Matthew Hammett, SCIP’s inaugural director. “By providing fully-online, high-quality courses, Lander is helping to ensure that our schools and campuses remain safe, supportive environments for all students.”
The South Carolina Institute on the Prevention of Sexual Violence on College Campuses was established in 2024 to support colleges and universities in developing and strengthening prevention programs. SCIP provides resources, training and funding opportunities to institutions across South Carolina.
