SC photojournalists join Richland Library to discuss capturing stories in 2020

November 12, 2020

When it comes to capturing stories in 2020, get the perspective behind the camera. Join Richland Library for Artist-in-Residence (AiR) Presents: Through the Lens – Photojournalism in 2020 from 7 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday, November 19. Please register to attend this online program, which is free and open to the public.

The library is leading a panel discussion with our current AiR, Crush Rush, to explore the life of a photojournalist in the age of COVID-19, during racial and political unrest, and as an evolved art over time. Hear first-hand accounts from:

  • Sean Rayford – a freelance photojournalist and commercial photographer, based in Columbia, SC.
  • Lauren Petracca – a staff photographer at The Post and Courier in Charleston.
  • Grace Beahm – a staff photographer and assistant visuals editor at The Post and Courier in Charleston.
