SC Solar Council Meeting on Friday 12/5

COLUMBIA, SC – December 3, 2008 – The South Carolina Solar Council will have a public meeting this Friday, December 5th from 2pm – 3:30pm at the University of South Carolina, Green Quad Learning Center on the corner of Sumter Street and Wheat Street.

The meeting will be held in Room 102 and is free and open to the public so please bring a friend, loved one or co-worker. RSVP is not necessary.

The meeting will feature presentations by 6 speakers about new federal incentives for solar energy, anticipated renewable energy legislation in the SC General Assembly, information about concentrated solar energy, and much more. We will also have a tour of the Green Quad after the meeting from 3:30-4:30pm to highlight some of the active and passive solar features as well as other “green” characteristics of one of the nation’s first LEED-certified college dorms. If you haven’t seen it yet, this is a good excuse to go! Metered parking is located around the building and public parking is available at the Sumter Street Garage.
