SC Superintendent Molly Spearman and MAKO Medical host K-12 COVID-19 testing visit

WHAT: Molly Spearman, South Carolina Superintendent of Education, along with Dr. Brannon Traxler, Director of Public Health at DHEC and Dr. W. Burke Royster, Superintendent of Greenville County School District, will be touring a MAKO Medical COVID-19 PCR Testing site at Fountain Inn High School.

A media roundtable discussion will begin at 10:45 am inside the school. Molly Spearman, Dr. Traxler, Dr. Royster and a representative from MAKO Medical will answer questions about K-12 COVID testing.

The visit is to continue the ongoing conversation of the importance of regular K-12 COVID testing across South Carolina to help safely keep students and educators in the classroom. MAKO Medical is providing on-site K-12 COVID-19 testing in schools throughout Greenville, Cherokee, Oconee, Spartanburg, Greenwood and York counties.

Everyone should wear a mask and observe physical distancing to the extent possible.
