SC Treasurer’s Office Names Deputy State Treasurer

COLUMBIA, SC – Tonia Morris has joined the South Carolina Office of the State Treasurer as Deputy State Treasurer. Morris will oversee the Investment, Debt, and Treasury Management functions.

Morris joins the Treasurer’s Office after serving as the Senior Assistant Comptroller General at the South Carolina Comptroller General’s office for the past four years. Morris has nearly 20 years of state government experience working in accounting and auditing.

Morris is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Morris is originally from Myrtle Beach, S.C. She is an executive board member of Bible Way Church of Atlas Road and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
