SC Works commences second phase of talent pipeline development

October 30, 2016

The Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) announced that Maher & Maher, a talent development consulting firm from New Jersey, will manage the development and implementation of SC Works Phase II of the S.C. Talent Pipeline strategies.

The goal of the S.C. Talent Pipeline is to build skilled workforces through regional, industry-focused approaches. The project is a partnership between DEW, the S.C. Department of Commerce, S.C. Department of Education and the S.C. Technical College System.

“We are excited to be able to continue our work with Maher & Maher,” said Cheryl Stanton, executive director for DEW. “Much like how businesses develop a supply chain, this project focuses on providing our businesses with a supply chain of talent to meet their current and future employment needs.”

During Phase II Maher & Maher’s role will include gathering regional input from businesses and other organizations, conducting data analysis and identifying the funding opportunities available for training to implement the regional plans, which were developed in the project’s first phase.
