SC7 Leader Mullikin and Senate President Alexander discuss SC7 Expedition

April 29, 2024

In this series of short videos running throughout the next few weeks, South Carolina leaders will briefly expound on their experiences along the trail during the fifth annual SOUTH CAROLINA SEVEN (SC7) expedition.

The month-long SC7 expedition – primarily hiking, but also rafting, kayaking, and SCUBA diving – began in the Upstate last week and will conclude with the Resiliency Conference May 22. Along the way, global expedition leader Dr. Tom Mullikin and other experts will be showcasing the state’s seven geographic wonders exploring, observing, and teaching along a unique trek closely paralleling several hundred miles of the famed Palmetto Trail from the mountains to the sea.

In today’s “SC7 minute,” Senator Thomas Alexander, president of the S.C. Senate, discusses SC7 with Dr. Mullikin. Both encourage South Carolinians and others to participate in the ongoing expedition across the state. Speaking from their vantage point Sunday on beautiful Lake Jocassee in scenic Oconee County, S.C., both Alexander and Mullikin discuss the importance of exploring what our state has to offer in terms of its seven “geographic wonders” and how to get involved in SC7 2023.
